Data Deletion

You can ask us to delete your account and the personal information Knight AI+AV LLC holds about you. This page explains how, what is removed, what we must keep, and how long it takes.

Deleting an account does not remove files saved on your own devices. For recordings, transcripts or dictation history, use the controls in the app.

Talk DAT! and D-REC

• Talk DAT!: delete your account from the account panel on talkdat.app, or email us. The Talk DAT! privacy policy lists what the account holds.
• D-REC: delete your account from the account panel, or email us. The D-REC privacy policy lists what the account holds. If you subscribed through Apple, cancel the subscription there first, because deleting the account does not cancel it.

Omni Converter and everything else

Email Build@knightaiav.com from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account" and the name of the product. We reply to confirm it is you, then delete. This also covers Knight Chat accounts, contact form messages and problem reports.

Authorized agents (California)

California residents may use an authorized agent. Send your signed permission with the request to Build@knightaiav.com, and we will confirm with you directly before we act.

What gets deleted

• Your account record and every sign-in session.
• Everything you created or stored in that product.
• Messages and problem reports linked to your email address, if you ask.

What we keep, and why

• Payment records, for seven years, as US tax and accounting law requires. We keep only the minimum: the payment processor's customer reference, invoices and plan history. We never had your card number.
• Counts and trends that cannot be linked back to you.
• Records under a legal hold, such as a court order, until the hold ends.
• Backups, which roll off within 90 days.

How long it takes

• Live data: within 30 days of a confirmed request, often the same day.
• Backups: within 90 days after that.
• Payment records: seven years, then deleted.

Confirming it is you

To stop anyone deleting someone else's account, we reply to the email address on the account and wait for confirmation. If we cannot confirm a request within 30 days, we tell you and ask for more information.

Visiting this page does not delete anything or send a request.
